Halloween Jewellery!

It's coming up to the spookiest time of year, I love Halloween and making lots of spooktacular jewellery!

My designs for this season can be used to funk up a Halloween costume, or can be worn casually for a more understated look.

This year I've gone all out, bats, skeletons, spiders, and the beginnings of my new 'Symbols' range by introducing Wicca themed jewellery.

As usual I have matching earrings, bracelets and necklaces for lots of my designs; but some of the charms are too big for bracelets so are only available as necklaces. The skeletons are so big they would only do as earrings!

My favourite design is this cute Halloween Charm Bracelet. It features some funky witch themed charms including a witch's hat, a spider web, a witch on a broomstick, a cat, a cauldron and star charms.

Earrings are always top sellers in the run up to Halloween, and I've expanded on last years designs to offer even more!

New Birthday Jewellery

I've finally updated my Birthday Jewellery! It's taken me a while to get the samples made up, photographed and edited, and then updating Etsy and my Website, but it's all finished now!

There are three different designs, available as bracelets or a necklaces, personalised with initial charms, beads, shaped charms and birthstones.

21 Bracelets for 21 Bridesmaids

This week I had one of the biggest orders I've ever had from a beautiful Bride to Be!

She wanted 21 Heart Charm Bracelets for her 21 Bridesmaids, all in personalised gift boxes.

Making up an order of this size takes about 2-3 hours, and I find the most efficient way to pull it all together is to set up a production line, of course I have my trusty Lapdog Tray to help me out!

Preparations
First things first, getting the bracelets ready. All of my jewellery pieces are made by hand, as I build them to the customers specifications, so each bracelet needs building separately.

I lay out the pieces I need to build them and start putting them together; I tend to start with the clasps and the extension chains and drop to finish.

Then I lay out the chain and attach the pieces together to make the bracelets. This customer wanted them all standard sizing but I can make them in any length.

Personalising

Next, the charms. The customer tells me the initials that each bracelet needs to have, and I lay them all out with the shaped charms and start attaching them to the bracelets.

I then make the beads into charms. I use a simple rolled loop to secure the beads and add them to the bracelets.

Et Voila! 21 personalised bracelets all ready for packing!

Gift Boxes

The Bride-to-Be also asked for a Personalised Gift Box for each bracelet, so I got printing!

Packing

Then it's time to wrap them all up and get them to the post office. As this was a special order they got my special pink bags!

Gifts for Teachers and Students

I've been updating my gifts for teachers and students, this is the first set of designs that feature my new script initial charms! 

Quietly, and behind the scenes I've been building my website shop, and eventually I will update all of the designs in my Etsy shop too.

Last year my teacher gifts were very popular, and I'm hoping this will be repeated this year :)

So what's new?

Book Necklaces! I've wanted to launch these for a while now, and end of the academic year seemed like a perfect time! A great way to say thank-you to a teacher, and it also doubles as a gift for someone who loves to read!

New cute owl charms, and owls combined with apples make a lovely teacher gift!

Something for the students!

Graduating is a big deal! It marks the end of years of hard work and success, my mortar board necklace is the perfect way to mark the graduation occasion!
